armunji
Kakheti
"Armunji" is the Tsukilashvili brothers' family winery in Kvareli, renowned for its premium Qvevri Saperavi — "Zedashe".
Story
The heritage of Armunji winery traces back to the village of Kvara in Kakheti's Duruji River valley. Although the family lost their ancestral cellars during the Soviet era, the Tsukilashvili brothers successfully revived their winemaking legacy. Operating under the philosophy that "winemaking begins with vineyard care," the estate spans 16 hectares of dedicated single vineyards and never purchases external grapes. Their flagship creation is "Armunji Zedashe". The name "Armunji" translates to "waterless wine", while "Zedashe" refers to the Kakhetian tradition of the "wine of the upper row" — the purest, most refined premium wine naturally separated at the top layer of the Qvevri.
